I used to think of you all the time.

You were my everything.

I would tell you,

"You're my whole world."

I know now that was not a good place to put you.

Despite all the love I have to share,

that was a dangerous place to put you.

I do not find myself thinking of you so often

But days like today,

moments like now..

I think of how wonderful you used to be,

how sweet you were to me.

I am saddened by your absence,

I am hurt by your betrayal.

I love you still,

even as I ache from your wrongdoing.

No, I do not think of you as often,

but I remember you.

And it scares me

that I will never love the same again.
